Mashobra is a beautiful small town situated in the Shimla district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of 15 km from Shimla with at an elevation of 2500 mts above the sea level. It is an abode of Indian President and once was the holiday place for Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The building was constructed in 1850 which is completely made of wooden structure. This building consist 16 rooms and covered an area of 300 acres forest compound. Chharabra is the great example of British architecture. Every year only two weeks the president occupies this building during the summer season after that this building is used by Government of India.
