Churdhar Peak Trek Himachal

Churdhar Peak Trek is one of the highest treks of Himalaya which is situated in Sirmour district. It is located at an altitude of 12000ft and one of snow covered peak during winters and visible from Shimla. This trek is also known as the Churahandni and one of the most easily accessible. Churdhar Peak can be approachable from three routes – Chaupal in Shimla district is the base camp of the shortest route of 7 km, Haripurdhar in Sirmour district is the base for a long trek which is longer about 50 km and Nauradhar is the third and last route. This trek takes you to highest peak. Churdhar trek is surrounding with 56 sq km by forest which adds more charm of the place.

Apart from trekking you must visit Chureshwar Mahadev Temple which is situated near the summit. This trek is paradise for nature lovers and blessed with wildlife. During the trek you can see Himalayan Monal, Red junglefowl, Indian Peafowl , Musk deer, Barking deer, Goral, Leopard, Wild boar, black bear etc. May to till November is the best time for visit this trek because the snow starts melt and the trail easily accessible. After reaching at the top of the summit you can enjoy the most beautiful views of surrounding. You also see the all ways to till Kedarnath and Badrinath and also Gangetic basin, Sutlej River, Shimla, Chail, Kufri, and Kasauli.
