Kheerganga Trek Himachal

A beautiful land of India is ‘Kheer Ganga Trek’ which is situated in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of 64 km from Kullu, 56 km from Bhuntar, 22 km from Manikaran and 102 km from Manali. It is a small beautiful village which is located in Parvati Valley with at an elevation of 3050 mts above the sea level. The destination is popularly known for its hot water springs and majestic views of Himalayan Mountains. Barshaini is the starting point of trekking and the last point of Motorable roads. You will take 4 hours to reach Kheer Ganga to Barshaini on feet. Enroute to Kheer Ganga various rivers are flow on the way and bridges across. The Kheer Ganga hot water spring is a perfect way to rejuvenate your which is not forgot for whole life. This is a short 12 km trek and the highest point is Kheer Ganga will welcome you with hot water spring. When you start trekking from Barshaini then you will pass through several villages and other sightseeing like Rudra- Nag and serpent shaped waterfall.

When you reach Kheer Ganga slope, you can find food tents and religious Temples. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that the water of spring has medicinal properties. The best time to visit is from May to November with the pleasant weather. During the winters the trek is not comfortable for trekking, because snow fall makes the trail difficult and the rocks become slippery.
