Kangra valley trek is one the most interesting trek of Himachal Pradesh. It is perfect trail for both experience trekkers and ardent trekkers. This beautiful trek is situated at 3,300 mt above the sea level. Kangra valley trek is a magical trek where you can experience several attractive destinations. One the way the trail offered the beautiful views of Dhauladhar range, mystical lakes, Ancient Temple, various hindu villages etc which add a unique variety of flavor. It is one of the finest treks for winters and also early summer in Himachal.
Your journey will start from Dharamsala/McLeodganj, which is the perfect for vacation. This is the place where 14 Dalai Lama reside. You also enjoy the Delightful views of Dhauladhar range. You can visit old Temples, mysterious lakes and unexplored hindu villages which is covered by the valley. The best time to visit is mid March to October with pleasant weather.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 01: Mcleodganj – Boh – Kanol (1500 m)
After breakfast you will drive towards Boh Village which is the starting point of trek. You can reach 2 hours and will take you to Batuni Village here you can explore the hamlet and get experience of the local people. After that you will go to Lingru Nag Temple and take lunch here. Now move towards Kanol Village and overnight stay here.
Day 02: Kanol – Kareri Village (1900m trek)
After having breakfast, move to your trek through charming hamlet. Visit this charming village and interact with the locals. Arrival at Kareri Village and overnight stay here in the tent or camp.
Day 03: Kareri – Bahl (1900m trek)
Today after breakfast starts trek to Khari Behi. Take a down trek take about 1 hour to reach Rawa Village where you can take rest in a small village. After that you can reach Bahl Village which takes 2 hours. Overnight stay at the camp site.
Day 04: Bhal- Triund (2875m trek)
After morning breakfast you will depart towards your trek to Triund. Cross the Bhated River and through forest you will reach Golu Devta Temple. After this the trail is changed to a wide mountain and you can start uphill climb all the way till triund. You can enjoy the beautiful meadows, snow capped peaks and one side Kangra valley. Overnight will be spent in the camp.
Day 05: Triund – Mcleodganj
This is the last step of trekking from Triund to Mcleodganj. Enjoy the Dhauladhar range in the north and Dharamshala valley in the south. Enjoy the cascading waterfall before ending the trail at Bhagsu Nag Village. Now you will reach Kangra valley and we proceed towards Mcleodganj.
